Transformers - The Beginning

Transformers, the 2007 live-action film adaptation of the Transformers franchise, follows the epic battles of two factions of transforming robots; the Autobots and the Decepticons. Optimus Prime, heroic leader of the Autobots, opens the film with a voice over describing how the Transformers home world, Cybertron, was destroyed.

Megatron Discovered

Cybertron was destroyed by the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron, in their quest to capture the All Spark. The Autobots seek the All Spark in order to rebuild Cybertron and end the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. However, the the Decepticons have a more devious plan; the destruction of the Autobots and conquest of the universe. Megatron has found the All Spark on Earth, but crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and was frozen in the ice.

The All Spark

In 1987, a team of US explorers, led by Captain Archibald Witwicky, stumble upon Megatron's body. The team accidentally activate Megatron's navigation system and his eye glasses hold the location of the All Spark's; surrounded by the Hoover dam.

Megatron used

The frozen Megatron is moved into Sector 7, a secret govnerment installation, where his technology is reverse engineered in order to benefit mankind.

Transformers - the present

Moving forward to the present day, a group of Decepticons — Blackout, Scorponok, Frenzy, Barricade, Starscream, Devastator and Bonecrusher — have landed on Earth and yaken the form of Earth vehicles in order to blend in (except Scorponok, who hides inside Blackout). In an attempt to locate Megatron, Blackout and Scorponok attack the U.S. SOCCENT FWD base in Qatar and try to hack into the U.S. military network. Their plan is thwarted when the base staff break the network cable connections. Blackout continues to destroy the base whilst Scorponok seeks to destroy a group of survivors who have photographic evidence of the Transformers existence but he is beaten back.
During the battle at SOCCENT FWD, the military discovers the only effective weapons against the Transformers' armor are high-heat sabot rounds...let battle commence!
